Originally from Wisconsin, Sara began her career in 2002 working in residential real estate, where she specialized in selling and designing custom homes. She is passionate about helping clients create spaces that feel comfortable, welcoming, and effortlessly functional — homes where family and friends naturally gather and lasting memories are made.

Known for her approachable style and attention to detail, Sara works closely with each client to bring their vision to life while making the design process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

Outside of design, Sara enjoys exploring new restaurants with her husband, traveling to destinations known for exceptional food and wine, and expanding her knowledge of wine through her WSET Level 2 certification. She’s also a proud “cat mom” and a longtime car enthusiast.

Let's learn more about Sara and why she'd be a great partner for your upcoming project...

What got you into Interior Design?

I began my career working as a Realtor and New Home Sales Consultant, eventually transitioning into a role as a Selections Coordinator for a homebuilder. Through those experiences, I discovered that what I truly loved most was the design side of helping homeowners create spaces they loved living in.

After moving to Arizona, I returned to school and earned my Associate Degree in Interior Design from Scottsdale Community College. From there, I chose to specialize in cabinetry and kitchen & bath design, combining both creativity and functionality to help clients create beautiful, livable spaces tailored to their everyday lives.

Why do you specialize in Kitchens & Baths, and do you design other areas of the home?

I specialize in kitchens and baths because I have over 10 years of experience in cabinet design and truly enjoy creating spaces where thoughtful design can make the biggest impact. My background in plumbing supply has also given me valuable knowledge that directly supports these types of projects.

In addition to kitchens and baths, I also design laundry rooms, media rooms, bars, home offices, mudrooms, and other areas throughout the home that incorporate cabinetry and functional storage solutions.

While my expertise focuses on cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, hardware, paint selections, lighting, and some window coverings, I do not specialize in sourcing furnishings such as rugs, artwork, furniture, or drapery. However, I collaborate with several talented designers and would be happy to connect clients with trusted professionals for those finishing touches once a remodel or new construction project is complete.

What is your design philosophy?

I believe great design should be both beautiful and functional. My goal is to create spaces that reflect each client’s personal style while also supporting the way they live every day.

I approach every project with careful attention to functionality, comfort, and budget, ensuring the final result feels both timeless and practical for the homeowner.

How do you stay updated with industry trends?

As a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, I regularly participate in continuing education to stay current within the design industry. I attend ASID meetings and events, along with educational programs and networking opportunities hosted by industry partners.

I also stay inspired and informed by attending trade shows, reading industry publications, and following both local and international design professionals and manufacturers on social media. Continuing education and ongoing learning are incredibly important to me so I can provide clients with fresh ideas, current product knowledge, and thoughtful design solutions.

How do you handle project management and communication?

I believe one of the most important parts of any project is clear communication and trust. I approach every client relationship with the same level of care and respect I would want for myself if I were in their position.

I strive to be transparent throughout the entire process and keep clients informed every step of the way — even when unexpected challenges arise, as they sometimes do in remodeling and construction projects.

By listening carefully to my clients’ needs, questions, and concerns, I’m able to create a collaborative experience that feels organized, supportive, and enjoyable from start to finish.
